I had the pleasure of spending some time with my little Valentine tonight. He picked me up and had food from my favorite Lucille’s in the back and a Baja Blast in the cupholder. We had a lovely picnic in the park (note the hand-picked flowers in a vase) and then I had to close my eyes on our way to the second location. I opened my eyes to a beautiful hill that overlooks the city. He lit a candle and we ate chocolate covered strawberries and talked and laughed and stared at the stars. We ended the night with prayer and talking about how thankful we are for grace & salvation. It was a night full of understanding and loving and caring and growing. What a gift. What an incredible, incredible gift. Before, I was neutral on this holiday, but now I am so, so in favor of St. Valentine and all he contributed to the world.
